I Will Guide You With My Eyes

"I [the Lord] will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you."
‎                                          ~Psalms 32:8
‎Two birds were perched on a branch one day watching all the people below busy going back and forth. One bird said, "Why are those people so anxious? " The other bird said, "Maybe they don't have a loving Father like we do. " "Therefore I tell you, stop being perpetually uneasy (anxious and worried) about your life, what you shall eat or what you shall drink; or about your body, what you shall put on. Is not life greater [in quality] than food, and the body [far above and more excellent] than clothing? Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father keeps feeding them. Are you not worth much more than they? And why should you be anxious about clothes? Consider the lilies, how they grow. They neither [wearily] toil nor spin nor weave; yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory (his splendor and magnificence) was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass in the field, which is alive today, and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, how much more will He clothe you, O you [people] of little faith?  (Matthew 6:25-27,28-30)
‎Now it happened, as they were traveling along, that he entered a certain village, and a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home. And she had a sister called Mary, who sat at Jesus’ feet and listened to his words. But Martha was distracted with much serving, and came to him and said, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to serve alone? So tell her to help me”. And Jesus answered and said to her, "Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is necessary, and Mary has chosen the good part, which will not be taken away from her”. (Luke 10:38-42) Every day, while Jesus was on earth, He traveled from one village to another, from one town  to another entering from one house to another. Mary and Martha are His close friends maybe since childhood they knew each other and became so close to each other. We do not find in the Bible about what Jesus was up to after that incidence when His parents lost sight of Him and found Him at the temple talking with teachers and other prominent people. I was thinking that Jesus must have spent His time after that with His heavenly Father while still being subject to His parents. In Luke chapter 2 it says Jesus went with them and was subject unto them. Yet when His pparents have been looking for Him He said to them, "Don't you know that I must be about my Father's business? "
‎This tells me that Jesus must have spent His years after that in learning His Father's business up until He showed up to public again. It could be that for years He was not seen by friends and then suddenly His friends heard about Him and they were excited to see Him again. They heard that He was going from place to place and patiently waited for Him to come to their place so they could invite Him for dinner. Then the time came and Jesus himself entered into their village and into their house. Martha wanting to please her longed for friend was busy in the kitchen preparing foods while Mary just sat at His feet. Looking up to His gentle face that glued her to the floor and was intently listening to His every Word. Later when Martha complained Jesus said, "Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is necessary, and Mary has chosen the good part, which will not be taken away from her”. I am just thinking about us today. Jesus always wants to enter into our hearts to visit us everyday. He said to everyone of us who are weary and heavy burdened to come to Him for rest. Yet, as the world transforms, we became like Martha worried and troubled about many things and forget to choose the most necessary thing . . . the one good part that will not be taken away from us. . . sitting at His feet and listening to His every Word. . . His Word that gives rest, refreshes the soul, and gives peace that transcends human understanding.
‎From being so quiet, serene, and peaceful, abundant of all we need; the world today has become a place of uncertainties, chaos, and scarcity driving many people into vain plans, preoccupation, and empty future plans and decisions that they fail to see the most important choice they need to make today. They became unconsciously unaware that they are heading into habitual path leading them into a maze of rutted dullness, a well-worn paths of routine. Their life became void and eventually full of darkness, without form (or deformed) and the Spirit of God couldn't find a perfect dwelling place as in the time before God creatively lavished the earth with His love, beauty, and goodness. "And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep, and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters."  (Genesis 1:2)

‎God, the most creative Creator in the universe (beyond human imagination) will never leave His own circling in deeply rutted paths like the world leads you to. He will lead you through fresh untrodden trails of amazing adventures, revealing to you things you haven't seen before. Stay in communication with Him and follow His guiding Presence. Instead of wondering about what is on the road ahead or worrying about so many what if's... or what you should do if...or when... concentrate on His Presence, stay in communication with Him, let Him develop your gifts and mold you into the vessel He wants you to be. When stressful situations come don't ask Him to take it away but ask for strength to face them patiently. When you actually arrive at a choice-point in life, He will show you which directions to go for He will guide you with His own eyes. Live one day at a time with your loving, gracious, all-knowing heavenly Father and live abundantly rejoicing in His Presence.
